Wine Hosting & Appreciation

Wine is now. It may have once been the domain of stodgy old men in tweed, but in the 21st century wine is for everyone. A working knowledge of wine is expected of many people, especially business professionals and anyone in the restaurant/hotel industry. However, I completely understand that for the novice, the wine world is intimidating – to say the least. Fear not, as I aim to take the intimidation, the stuffiness and the frustration out of wine.

I can organize and host any type of wine tasting event, be it a small gathering with your friends on a Friday night or a large corporate function. Every detail can be tailored to your specific needs. Rates are completely variable and not nearly as expensive as you might think!

My services are not limited to wine, either – I am also very well-versed in beer and spirits, so if you are interested in, say, a scotch tasting or pairing beer with food, I can help.

Wine Writing

My primary passion lies in writing, and I am capable of writing any type of copy for any type of publication. I have over four years’ experience writing published, wine-related articles and tasting notes; I’ve even written a book about wine. From a 50-word tasting note to a 5000-word treatise on modern vineyard practices to a manual on how to properly serve wine, I can write it all.

If you have a burning booze question for which you’ve been unable to get a straight answer, just send me an email. I’ll have a response out to you within 24 hours and I guarantee it will make sense – even if you don’t know a thing about wine (or India Pale Ale, or espresso-flavoured vodka).
